Established since 1912, TJ Hughes has become a much-loved and well-known presence on the high street, especially in the North of England. They currently have a portfolio of 49 stores including some out of town formats.
TJ Hughes is a grass-roots retailer, selling branded goods (clothing, accessories, footwear, electrical, homeware, fragrances and gifts) at discount prices. The store format and look varies widely from one branch to the next - some have furniture, jewellery and other concessions within them, some are small and piled high with stock. The one thing they do have in common is that all are successful.
