McDonalds introduces first new hamburger since 2001

03 July 2009 09:28

McDonalds is introducing an Angus Burger, its first new line of hamburgers since 2001. The new line of three Angus burgers, which will initially launch in the US, are one-third of a pound each and priced at $4. The premium offer has been in development for around two years after franchisees in Southern California asked for a more upmarket product to compete with regional burger chains.

In addition to Angus beef, the new burgers feature a braided sesame seed bun, a thicker tomato slice and red onion.
