Habitat's opens its latest store in Bilbao, Spain and confirms plans for new stores in France. It will continue to increase its presence in France in 2011 with the opening of a new store in Antibes and the relocation of the Toulouse store.

Habitat's projected 25,000 sq ft store in Antibes, opening in spring 2011, will be located in a new building out of the town centre. The company said that it believed the new store would "provide a greater area to showcase Habitat's inspiring collection with key furniture ranges and homewares, whilst also offering easy access and convenient parking facilities."

Meanwhile, Habitat's relocated store in Toulouse will open in summer 2011 as the 19,000 sq ft anchor store in the redeveloped Grand Hotel scheme. The new location moves Habitat from a secondary retail centre to the new heart of France's fourth largest city.
