Chinese etailer JD.com have announced the trial of delivery drones capable of delivering up to a tonne of cargo in an attempt to ease deliveries to more rural areas. The drones The company has a vast network of warehouses across China and the Middle Kingdom, with a drone airbase in Shaanxi province set to deliver goods within a 300 mile radius. CEO of JD.com's logistics business group, Wang Zhenhui noted that, “We envision a network that will be able to efficiently transport goods between cities, and even between provinces, in the future.”
