The Co-op group will be returning to the pharmacy sector this week by buying online prescription platform, Dimec.  This comes four years after they ditched their bricks and mortar chemists.

The agreement is expected to be announced alongside their half- year results on Friday, and is expected to cost a lot less than the £620 million sum that they sold their chemist sector to Bestway Group for.

There has been speculation that the value of the deal could be less than £10 million, and the platform would be used to help the Co-op build a strong presence in the health wellbeing industry.
