Cath Kidston has announced it has plans to open a new store at Centre:mk in Milton Keynes.

The new opening is due to following the success of its pop-up store at the shopping centre at Christmas time.

The 2,570 sq. ft store on Silbury Arcade is due to open in the autumn time and will sit alongside House of Fraser, Kurt Geiger and the recently announced White Company flagship.

Cath Kidston commercial director Chris McKendrick said: “The success of our pop-up last year demonstrated what an ideal location Centre:mk is for our brand. Moreover, Milton Keynes has its own special history as a city where the traditional meets the modern, and so is the perfect place to bring to life the unique Cath Kidston concept of modern vintage.”

Speaking on behalf of Centre:mk's joint owners Hermes Real Estate and AustralianSuper, Ed Sellick said: “We are thrilled Cath Kidston is returning to Centre:mk with a permanent store. The brand is highly successful, has a great heritage and perfectly matches Centre:mk’s visitor and catchment profile. Furthermore, Cath Kidston is further evidence of the growing number of leading brands that are selecting Centre:mk for regionally dominant stores.”

Cath Kidston now has more than 60 UK locations as well as stores in over 12 countries across Europe and Asia since being established in 1993.
