07 June 2007 09:58
The chief executive of Torex Retail, Neil Mitchell, has had his contract terminated, four months after allegedly blowing the whistle on the retail software company which is now under investigation by the Serious Fraud Office. Mr Mitchell took the post in September but was asked to step down from his executive duties in January when the group’s shares were also suspended following a profits warning. Acting chief executive Keith Taylor has now taken the job full time. With clients including Spar, Hamleys, House of Fraser, Matalan and Argos, the group is currently said to be reviewing the amount of debts that a prospective buyer would have to take on should an offer be accepted.
