Austin Reed chief to lead buyout?

22 July 2008 09:10

Austin Reed's chief executive Nick Hollingworth could lead a management buyout if the retailer is put up for sale by its struggling owner, Dawnay Day. Austin Reed is not part of the Dawnay Day property group, which is reviewing its assets, but its founders (Guy Naggar and Peter Klimt) have a stake in the business.
Speaking to The Sunday Express, Mr Hollingworth said: "If Austin Reed does come onto the market, I and the existing management want to stay involved with the business".
