Makro to close three stores in UK

It has been reported that hundreds of Makro staff face redundancy after talks between the retailer and unions failed to prevent the closure of three stores.
Last month, Makro announced a consultation period for the future of the stores in Wolverhampton, Swansea and Coventry, putting 378 jobs at risk.
The company has said that it will redeploy staff where it can and offer support to the store-based employees.
