Tesco to increase share in telecoms market

20 April 2009 09:16

Tesco is reportedly planning to open 100 telecom centres in its stores over the next year, taking on Carphone Warehouse for dominance of the mobile phone market.
According to reports in the Telegraph, Tesco is seeking to diversify into non-food areas such as telecoms and banking.
Tesco already has 41 telecoms centres in its stores offering pay-as-you-go and contract phones, bringing it level with Argos but still behind Carphone Warehouse in terms of market share.
