AB InBev announces profit rise

The world's largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev, saw a rise in profits in the last quarter of 2009 after cost cutting and price hikes.

The Budweiser maker saw profits at $1.28 billion (£852m), up from $29m last year, although it added that global beer sales were sluggish and unlikely to bounce back until 2010.
