Chris Hutcheson resigns from Gordon Ramsay Holdings

Chris Hutcheson, Gordon Ramsay's father-in-law, has resigned from Gordon Ramsay Holdings after more than a decade at the helm.
In a statement, GRH said: "We would like to thank him for all his efforts and support in helping to build and grow GRH over the last 12 years. Interim management will be put in place while the search begins for a full time replacement. It continues to be business as normal for all GRH operations."
Mr Hutcheson and Gordon Ramsay set up the firm in 1998, opening Restaurant Gordon Ramsay on Royal Hospital Road and Petrus shortly afterwards. Partnered by investment company Blackstone, GRH opened sites worldwide, including restaurants in Asia, the Middle East and Australia. However, over-expansion forced the company to restructure its debts, leaving Mr Ramsay and Hutcheson as consultants rather than owners.
