Café Rouge plans to offer fast food for travellers

Restaurant group Tragus, which is backed by Blackstone private equity, is planning to open up to 50 mini Café Rouge's at train stations around the UK as part of a plan to expand the franchise.
A test site of Café Rouge Express opened at Euston Station in London last month and is believed to have been a considerable success. The site is smaller in size, with just 50 seats, and a takeaway-style format.
In the year to May 2010, Tragus reported sales up by almost 6% although like-for-like sales fell by 1.6%.
