OFFICE is one of the UK's leading fashion footwear retailers, built around a simple idea: bringing style-conscious customers the very best in innovative, trend-led footwear. Combining exclusive in-house design with globally recognised brand partnerships, the business has established a reputation for individuality, quality and fashion authority.
Founded in 1981, OFFICE began life as a concession within London's iconic Hyper Hyper department store. The brand's name originated from its unconventional use of reclaimed office furniture as product displays, reflecting the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that still defines the business today. Following early success, OFFICE opened its first standalone store on King's Road in 1984 and has since grown into a recognised high-street fashion destination with a significant presence across the UK and internationally.
Growth has been a consistent theme throughout the company's journey. International expansion began in 2004 with launches in Ireland and concessions in major US cities including New York, Las Vegas and Chicago. This was followed by further European expansion, reinforcing OFFICE's position as a truly international fashion retailer.
In 2015, OFFICE became part of Truworths International, a leading international fashion retail group. The acquisition provided a strong platform for continued growth while maintaining the entrepreneurial culture and customer-first mindset that has been central to OFFICE's success.
OFFICE's store teams are the face of the brand and the driving force behind its success. Passionate about both customer experience and product, they play a vital role in shaping the business, delivering insights from the shop floor and ensuring customers receive an engaging, inspiring and highly personalised experience every day.
Based in the heart of Shoreditch, OFFICE's Head Office is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where entrepreneurial thinking and collaboration thrive. The culture is hands-on, ambitious and inclusive, offering individuals the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing international retail business.
A key milestone came in 1996 with the launch of OFFSPRING, a pioneering sneaker concept that helped redefine fashion sports retail. By combining exclusive collaborations, limited-edition releases and access to some of the world's most desirable brands, OFFSPRING continues to be a destination for sneaker enthusiasts and fashion-conscious consumers alike.
Today, OFFICE operates more than 160 stores globally alongside a growing ecommerce platform. From its London headquarters, a talented team of designers, buyers and retail specialists work tirelessly to identify emerging trends, develop market-leading product ranges and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
OFFICE began in 1981 as a concession called Office London inside Hyper Hyper on Kensington High Street, and opened its first standalone store on the King's Road in 1984. South African retailer Truworths bought the business in 2015.
