FTMO has taken another decisive step in its expansion strategy with the beta launch of FTMO Futures

FTMO has taken another decisive step in its expansion strategy with the beta launch of FTMO Futures, marking the firm’s entry into the futures prop trading space. The new offering introduces both 1‑Step and 2‑Step evaluation challenges, giving traders access to simulated capital of up to $450,000. Alongside the launch, FTMO has rolled out new Growth and Pro account structures, each with distinct rules around withdrawals and trading conditions, signalling a more diversified product ecosystem for its global trader base.

This move aligns with a broader industry trend, as several CFD‑focused prop firms have shifted toward futures following MetaQuotes’ restrictions on US focused prop trading platforms. The5ers and FundedNext have already made similar pivots, and FTMO’s futures launch positions the company firmly within this evolving landscape. Traders operate in a simulated environment, meeting predefined objectives and risk parameters before progressing to a Sim‑Funded Account.

The futures rollout comes on the heels of FTMO’s major acquisition of OANDA in late 2025, bringing the well known online trading group under the same corporate umbrella. It also coincides with FTMO’s return to the US market, where services were previously suspended in early 2024. With MetaTrader 5 now supporting FTMO’s US offering and alternative platforms like cTrader enabling competitors, the prop trading industry has regained momentum as firms adapt to new technology pathways.

Several other prop firms, including Funding Pips and Blue Guardian, have also resumed US operations after navigating the MetaQuotes restrictions. As the sector continues to evolve, FTMO’s futures launch underscores its commitment to innovation, diversification and long‑term growth, reinforcing its position as one of the most influential players in the global prop trading space.
