Jollyes reaches 125 stores and shows no signs of slowing down

There's something exciting about watching a retail brand grow, especially when that growth is driven by a clear connection with customers. That's exactly what's happening at Jollyes Pets, which has just celebrated the opening of its 125th store in Evesham.

Located at The Valley shopping destination, the new store marks another significant milestone in Jollyes' expansion journey across the UK. The opening day had a real community feel, with local dignitaries Mayor Councillor Bill Kimberley and Mayoress Councillor Mrs Celia Kimberley joining Jollyes' leadership team to officially welcome customers. Among those attending were Supply Chain Director David Stokes, Chief Financial Officer Gary Temple, members of the store team and, perhaps most importantly, Jax the cockapoo, who earned the honour of being the first dog through the doors.

For Jollyes Area Manager Jonty Cornes, the day was all about creating a memorable experience for local pet owners.

"We're delighted to finally open the doors and welcome customers on the red carpet to the new store here in Evesham. It was great to see so many dogs come and see their new pet store, including our first VIP paws through the door, Jax."

The celebration highlights just how far Jollyes has come in a relatively short space of time. Over the past three years, the retailer has almost doubled its store estate, reflecting strong customer demand and an ambitious growth strategy.

And the journey is far from over. Earlier this year, Jollyes revealed plans to target more than 160 towns and cities across Britain for potential new stores over the next five years, providing suitable locations can be secured. It's a clear sign that the business remains focused on bringing its pet-friendly shopping experience to even more communities.

Several new openings are already in the pipeline, with stores planned for:

  • Great Yarmouth – 21 August
  • Seaham – 11 September
  • Sheffield – 25 September
  • Mansfield – 6 October

For anyone working in retail or hospitality, Jollyes' latest milestone is a reminder that growth isn't just about opening more locations. It's about creating experiences that customers want to be part of, building strong local connections and maintaining momentum as the business evolves. With 125 stores now open and many more on the horizon, Jollyes continues to prove that there is plenty of opportunity for retailers willing to invest in their customers, communities and people.
