Accessories Technologist – West Yorkshire

An established fashion and lifestyle retailer is looking for an experienced Accessories Product Technologist to join its growing technical team.

This permanent role will focus primarily on accessories, including bags, small leather goods and soft accessories, alongside a wider homeware range.

Previous accessories product technology experience is essential, while experience with homeware would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage technical development, product specifications and quality standards across accessories and homeware.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure products meet quality requirements and critical path deadlines.
• Review product testing, safety standards and compliance documentation.
• Oversee quality checks across both developed and bought-in products.
• Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure products are ready for sale.
• Work independently while collaborating with wider buying and technical teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in an accessories product technology role, ideally covering bags, small leather goods or soft accessories.
• Strong understanding of critical path management and product development timelines.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing product approvals.
• Excellent organisational skills and the confidence to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of product compliance and testing would be advantageous.
