Senior Merchandiser

Senior Merchandiser | 12-Month FTC | East London

A leading UK fashion retailer is seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to one of its departments on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven merchandiser to take ownership of a high-profile category, leading a talented team while driving sales, profit, stock and margin performance. Working closely with Buying and Design, you'll play a key role in shaping strategy, trading the department and delivering a commercially successful product offer.

Key responsibilities:

• Own departmental sales, stock, margin and profit performance
• Lead weekly trading and WSSI management, identifying risks and opportunities
• Drive forecasting, range planning, stock flow and OTB
• Partner with Buying and Design to build commercially balanced ranges
• Manage intake, commitments and stock levels
• Present range sign-offs and influence strategic decisions
• Lead, coach and develop a merchandising team
• Build strong relationships across product, supply base and senior stakeholders

About you:

• Established Senior Merchandiser, or strong Merchandiser ready for the next step
• Advanced trading, forecasting and WSSI experience
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
• Experience managing OTB, stock flow and seasonal planning
• Proven people management and team development skills
• Confident influencing stakeholders across a fast-paced retail business
