XM Expands Its Offering With Seven Day Gold CFD Trading
XM is stepping into the seven day gold trading space with GOLD24 7. The move puts XM alongside retail brokers like Vantage Markets and CMC Markets, both of which recently launched their own versions of 24/7 gold CFDs. With gold consistently ranking as one of the most traded instruments among retail traders this year, brokers are racing to close the gap between Friday’s close and Monday’s open.
Vantage Markets rolled out XAUUSD247 last month, and CMC Markets introduced weekend gold trading earlier in the spring. XM’s GOLD24 7 follows the same logic. XM Co CEO Stavri Morti highlighted that economic data, geopolitical shifts and breaking headlines don’t pause for the weekend, and GOLD24 7 gives clients the flexibility to respond in real time instead of waiting for Monday’s open.
This trend isn’t limited to retail. Institutional firms have been building continuous gold trading solutions of their own. Scope Prime launched DIGIXAU in March to help institutions manage exposure during weekend closures, while Match Prime followed in June with 24/7 CFDs on gold, silver, oil and major US indices. These offerings focus on liquidity provision rather than direct retail access, but they reflect the same demand for uninterrupted market coverage.
Retail products like XM’s GOLD24 7 and Vantage’s XAUUSD247 differ from institutional tools such as LMAX Group’s gold futures, which are exchange style instruments designed for professional trading environments.
