Paul Hargreaves is recruiting for a Merchandise Analyst

This is a five month FTC, working two days in the office.

Are you a commercially minded analyst with a passion for turning data into actionable insights? We're partnering with a leading global retail business to find a talented merchandise analyst to join a fast-paced and collaborative merchandising team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving product performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and influencing inventory and trading outcomes across a large and dynamic retail operation.

What you'll be doing

· Analysing sales, stock and performance data to identify trends and opportunities
· Producing regular reports and dashboards to support trading decisions
· Working closely with Merchandising, Buying and Planning teams to optimise inventory performance
· Supporting forecasting, inventory management and promotional analysis
· Providing insights and recommendations to improve sales, margin and stock efficiency
· Monitoring key KPIs and delivering data-driven commercial solutions

What we're looking for

· Previous experience in an Allocator, Assistant Merchandiser or similar analytical role
· Strong Excel and data analysis skills
· Commercially aware with excellent numerical and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
· Experience working within a retail, fashion, lifestyle or consumer goods environment is highly advantageous
