Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer – UK & Ireland – up to £60,000
Join a fast-growing retail business with around 90 stores across the UK and Ireland. You'll join a small IT team and help support stores, Head Office and warehouse operations as the business continues to grow.
The role
You’ll support and maintain IT infrastructure across the business, with a key focus on new store openings and refurbishments. You’ll work with third-party suppliers, deliver infrastructure and POS rollouts, support Microsoft 365, networking, servers, security and end-user technology, and act as an escalation point for the wider team. You’ll also contribute to technology projects, maintain documentation, support store openings, closures and relocations, and share knowledge with colleagues. The role includes occasional store visits and participation in a four-person on-call rota.
About you
You’ll have strong experience with Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking and technical troubleshooting. Experience with SD-WAN, Fortinet, switching, Wi-Fi, POS, VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL and FTP would be helpful. You’ll be practical, proactive and curious, able to solve problems independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role would suit an experienced engineer ready to step into a senior position.
The package
Salary up to £60,000, with flexibility for the right candidate. Benefits include a four-day office week, flexible start and finish times, 23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, pension contributions, eyewear support, staff discounts, learning and development programmes, free breakfasts, social activities and paid on-call hours.
