Assistant Product Manager
Join a global retailer and supplier with international offices and a growing presence in key markets. As Assistant Product Manager, you’ll support the Product Manager in driving sales and profitability by identifying new business opportunities and delivering compelling product ranges. This role, based in Shanghai, involves close collaboration with UK brand teams and management of assigned multiproduct brands.
As Assistant Product Manager you will:
-Work with UK buying and design teams to align with brand needs
-Coordinate fabric sourcing to ensure seasonal readiness
-Support onboarding of new brands by leveraging regional capabilities
-Source suitable suppliers with the Merchandising Manager while maintaining product standards and MOQs
-Set and track sales budgets, adjusting plans as needed
-Ensure timely and accurate development samples and pricing
-Prepare for customer visits and lead a well-balanced, motivated team
-Stay adaptable and maintain a positive team environment in changing conditions
Experience needed:
-Relevant experience in product development, buying, or a similar role, ideally with exposure to the UK market
-Strong technical knowledge of multiproduct categories.
-Fluent in English, with excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work independently under pressure and focused on achieving results
