Commercial Strategy Specialist
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Strategy Specialist to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, to lead and help shape the future of media partnerships at Harrods. You will derive business and commercial insight from financial reports, and work with our teams to drive revenue growth, optimise partnerships and inform leadership decision making.
About the Role
You’ll sit at the centre of our fast-paced, performance-driven Partnerships & Marketing team, building strong relationships with internal teams and senior leaders across the business to understand how individual business units operate and how media partnerships can add value and revenue growth.
You’ll use commercial reporting and insight to fuel innovation, track performance and shape long-term strategic decisions to help future-proof Harrods' retail media portfolio and identify new opportunities for growth.
You will:
Establish budgets and targets for the year ahead (inventory/categories/periods).
Be responsible for tracking Period Performance by inventory & category, on a monthly basis, providing insight and context.
Work with Category Leads throughout the year to collate revised Income forecasts & supporting narratives for submission to the business.
Identify new opportunities within channels – such as dynamic print, pop-
ups.
Manage day to day revenue/financial reporting and forecasting, as well as providing ad hoc income reviews.
Monitor discounting and rates to ensure financial/income strategy is being appropriately implemented day to day.
Work closely with Finance teams to support invoicing, budgeting and forecasting processes as well as helping to establish, communicate and maintain records of the annual brand partner Concession Spends.
About you
You’ll have experience in financial reporting with both day to day and forecasting, You’ll be able to analyse data to identify trends, transforming this into robust actions and thought provoking recommendations for stakeholders within the Partnerships division.
You will also:
Be a confident communicator and presenter, comfortable translating complex data into clear business insight.
Have experience working in a revenue-focused or performance-driven team, ideally with exposure to media, retail, or marketing strategy.
Be able to link Media Revenue back to trade priorities
Be proactive, detail-oriented, and excited by the opportunity to drive innovation and change.
Have strong proficiency in Excel and are comfortable working with numerical data sets.
