Established Buyer - Temporary
A leading international fashion and lifestyle brand is seeking an experienced stablished buyer / senior buyer to join their team on an interim basis. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a key product area within a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment, working with a brand known for its strong product identity, global presence, and customer-focused approach.
The Role:
As an established buyer / senior buyer, you will be responsible for driving the commercial performance of your category, leading the end-to-end buying process from strategy through to execution. Working closely with design, merchandising, and supply chain teams, you will ensure the range delivers on both brand vision and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver the seasonal buying strategy for your category in line with business objectives.
Build balanced, commercially strong ranges that reflect customer demand and market trends.
Analyse sales, margin, and stock performance to identify opportunities and inform future decisions.
Lead supplier negotiations to achieve target margins, costs, and delivery schedules.
Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to manage OTB, stock flow, and range performance.
Work cross-functionally with design, technical, and supply chain teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure the range remains relevant and competitive.
Support and mentor junior team members where required.
About You:
Proven experience as an established buyer or senior buyer within fashion, lifestyle, or retail.
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable ranges.
Highly analytical with excellent Excel and data interpretation skills.
Confident negotiating with suppliers and managing key stakeholder relationships.
Strong understanding of the full product development and buying cycle.
Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
