Food Production Planner
We’re looking for a Food Production Planner to take a lead role in ensuring the efficient and safe scheduling of food production across our prestigious kitchens.
About the Role
As a Food Production Planner, you’ll manage the detailed daily scheduling of food production within Harrods kitchens, supporting our iconic Food Halls, Restaurants, Hbeauty sites, internal functions and B2B partners. You'll work closely with chefs, production teams and supply chain colleagues to ensure product availability, efficiency, and food safety are always maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
Translating the MRP-driven daily production plan into detailed, kitchen-specific schedules.
Ensuring allergen safety and supporting kitchen operations in compliance with Natasha’s Law.
Optimising batch sizing, stock levels and work-in-progress to drive production efficiency and reduce waste.
Collaborating on long-term planning for seasonal events and providing critical input to the S&OP cycle.
Maintaining accurate master data and reporting key performance metrics including throughput, labour efficiency, and attainment to plan.
Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.
Please see our Hybrid@Harrods policy on our Career Site for more information or speak to a member of our Talent Acquisition team if you have any questions regarding the requirements for this role.
About You
You will be highly organised and detail-driven with a solid understanding of food manufacturing and scheduling processes. Your ability to communicate effectively, work cross-functionally and manage changing priorities will be crucial to your success in this role. You'll be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and bring a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
You will need:
Experience in food production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with MRP systems (SAP preferred) and production batch control.
A good understanding of allergen control, food safety, and inventory management best practices.
