Group Senior People Manager (Maternity Cover – 12 Months)
Role Context
The Selfridges Group is comprised of Brown Thomas and Arnotts in Ireland, Selfridges in the UK and de Bijenkorf in the Netherlands, all of which are successful department stores in their own right. Key role accountabilities
The Group People team sets the vision and direction across the Group, working closely with the individual banner people teams in Europe who set and deliver their local people strategies. The Group People strategy is focused on Group wide Executive Talent, team member Engagement, and a framework for Group wide Reward.
Reporting to the Group People Director, the Group Senior People Manager leads the Leadership and Talent strategy across the Group and sets and monitors a Group wide framework for Engagement. They are also the HR Business Partner to the Group Senior Leaders, with key stakeholders including the Group CEO and Group CFO.
Leadership Development & Talent
Identify and develop a Group-wide talent pool for the next generation of Executives who have potential for more.
Collaborate with our banners to identify and develop high potential senior talent across our Group.
Design, implement, manage, and track effectiveness of leadership development interventions and solutions.
Track succession planning for Exec-1 / Senior Leadership across the banners, providing reporting for shareholders
Engagement
Lead our Group-wide engagement strategy including oversight and project management of the annual opinion survey with both internal and external stakeholders, providing enhanced opportunities for deeper insight.
Collaborating with the banners to build strategic action plans that are complementary to their People and Business strategies in order to deliver meaningful change.
Driving engagement initiatives & action planning with the Group Team.
Being a subject matter expert, developing our engagement capability
Reporting to the Group Executive on engagement status, providing insight and setting areas of focus for their attention.
Business Partnering
Strategic advisor and trusted partner with Group Senior Leadership on wide range of people matters, such as Talent Management, Performance Management, Recruitment, Succession Planning, Learning & Development and Organisational Design.
Maintain a strong network and working relationship with Business Partners within the banners to ensure insight into policy and practices across the Group as well as best practice externally.
Leads internal communication within the Group team working with the Selfridges Internal Communication team for support.
