About the role
We’re looking for a visionary brand and content leader to take the helm of delivering Halfords’ brand and content strategy across our entire Group. This pivotal, Group-wide role sits at the heart of our brand evolution, driving differentiation, strengthening awareness, consideration and perception, and bringing our story to life across every customer touchpoint.
You’ll lead the development of bold, insight-driven creative content ensuring it connects with the right audience, in the right way, at the right time. With a fast-paced, high-volume remit, you’ll lead and develop a team while championing best-in-class creative and design across paid, earned, and owned channels.
This role demands a balance: a strategic thinker with the creativity to generate fresh ideas, the operational edge to deliver at scale, and the leadership skills to inspire people around you. You’ll be part of the senior leadership team, evolving the consumer brand, shaping own-label strategy, and influencing at the highest levels, while also rolling up your sleeves when it counts.

Key responsibilities
Define and deliver the Halfords Group brand, own-label and owned brands strategy - driving differentiation and strengthening key brand metrics across the full funnel, from awareness and consideration through to adoption of our motoring and cycling products and services.
Build and implement a powerful content strategy, aligning all content creators (internal and external) to deliver compelling verbal and visual assets across paid, owned and earned channels - bringing the Halfords brand to life for our target audiences.
Develop and roll out high-impact campaigns - from seasonal and promotional bursts to category-led activations - to build awareness, deepen consideration and showcase what Halfords stands for.
Lead an in-house team of campaign specialists, copywriters, photographers, videographers, designers and packaging print experts to deliver fast paced, best-in-class creative.
Own and manage relationships with agency partners - brand, creative, print and production specialists - while supporting media, social and PR agencies.
Act as brand guardian across the Halfords Group, supporting customer-facing teams, people teams and corporate functions to ensure consistent, compelling brand expression at every touchpoint.
About you
Proven senior leadership in brand and creative, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.
A creative ideas-driven thinker with strong operational discipline to deliver through teams.
Experienced within a similar service led organisation / industry (preferred).
Experienced in driving active brand preference within competitive consumer markets, using data and insights to inform direction.
Strong people leader with a track record of building capability and inspiring collaboration across functions.
Commercially astute, with the ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple stakeholders with clarity and impact.
Growth-minded, positive, and an exceptional relationship-builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

We offer hybrid working in our Support Centre, you will be based at our Support Centre 3 days a week with an optional 2 days working from home.
