We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Internal Communications Coordinator to join our vibrant Internal Communications Team within the Corporate Affairs department, based in our Head Office in Tolworth.

With over 35,000 people working for Lidl GB in a variety of different roles and locations across the country, the Internal Communications team is instrumental in advising stakeholders and supporting the delivery of key business news and updates, keeping colleagues informed, engaged and motivated. As Lidl Great Britain's growth continues, our department is evolving, developing and getting busier by the day.

This role provides a brilliant opportunity for you to combine your passion for retail with a strong desire to work (or already have experience) in Internal Communications and Corporate Affairs. As a real people person with strong communication and writing skills, you’ll thrive in this highly collaborative and multi-skilled busy role, which will provide you the opportunity to work with many teams and individuals across the business.

Reporting into the Internal Communications Team Manager and working alongside the Internal Communications Senior Officer, you will support the planning, development and delivery of Lidl GB’s internal communications strategy, and the effective day-to-day management of key internal communication channels and deal with a variety of requests from across the business. You will also work on small campaigns and projects.

What you'll do


Supporting the team, the Internal Communications Team Manager and Internal Communications Officer with the planning and management of key communication channels, including our SharePoint intranet, colleague app, digital screens and other bespoke channels
Leading the planning and production of internal communications content
Working collaboratively with departments and individuals across the business to source and coordinate news and features
Supporting with logistics and slide design for events e.g. Town Halls
Supporting on the development of existing and new internal communications channels
Providing administrative support to the team and developing existing and new internal ways of working and processes e.g. Internal Communications Toolkit
Assisting with the development and delivery of the internal communications strategy

What you'll need


Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is evolving and developing
Ability to work to strict or tight deadlines and deal with ambiguity
Self-motivated and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Open minded and able to embrace change, and driven to improve processes
Creative copywriting skills are beneficial
Strong written English skills
Creative design skills, with digital design skills being beneficial
Meticulous eye for detail and ability to see the bigger picture
Knowledge of Internal Communications channels and experience using SharePoint
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience of other internal communications channels such as apps, video, events, podcasts would be an advantage
Confidence in reporting and data maintenance
Previous experience within internal communications is desirable
