Online Trading Executive - 6 Month Secondment
Support the planning, execution, and optimisation of seasonal, brand, and propositional content across Tesco’s online estate. This role is focused on delivering compelling, customer-centric content that aligns with our online content strategy and drives engagement and conversion. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and continuous improvement of content performance.

You will be responsible for:
Plan, coordinate and execute seasonal, brand, and propositional campaigns across Tesco’s online platforms, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Work closely with propositional teams early in the campaign planning process to support strategic thinking and influence event direction; support the Online Trading Manager in shaping early-stage campaign involvement.
Demonstrate commercial acumen, with a good understanding of trading levers and commercial strategy, using data and insight to drive profitable decision-making and optimise campaign performance.
Collaborate with Customer, Marketing, and Trade Planning teams to ensure campaign content is aligned across all touchpoints and supports customer missions.
Use analytics and SEO insights to inform content decisions and optimise performance through in-flight adjustments.
Conduct regular reviews of content performance and share insights with the wider team to support continuous improvement, including competitor reviews and external inspiration to inform best practices.
Support the implementation of HFSS-compliant sponsored content and contribute to monetisation opportunities in collaboration with the Retail Media team.
Maintain high standards of content accuracy and legality through regular checks and quality assurance processes.
Provide feedback to digital product and technology teams to support platform and CMS enhancements.
Work in an agile environment, contributing to team ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will need:
Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of digital customer journeys.
Basic knowledge of SEO and content optimisation techniques.
Experience using CMS platforms and website analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics).
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Collaborative approach with good communication skills to work across teams.
Proactive and curious, with a desire to learn and improve processes.
Use of creative thinking to identify new opportunities for content optimisation.
