Operations Support Assistant Manager
Our Store Services team is now looking for an Operations Support Assistant Manager to help deliver a seamless and high-performing operation across our world-famous Knightsbridge store.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Facilities function in a pivotal role working closely with colleagues across Store Services, Engineering, and Retail to ensure the flawless coordination of our day-to-day logistics, service support, and operational planning.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the daily activities of the Store Services team, ensuring excellence in service delivery and supporting strategic priorities across the department. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you’ll oversee administrative execution, project timelines, and continuous improvement across operations, whilst line managing an Operations Support Administrator.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing operational tasks and ensuring service delivery is timely, consistent, and to Harrods' standards.
Leading the admin function with a focus on efficiency, quality, and proactive issue resolution.
Overseeing departmental reporting, cost recovery processes, and finance administration (POs and invoices).
Coordinating project timelines, tracking KPIs, and mitigating operational risk.
Representing the department in the absence of the Senior Facilities Manager.
Line managing junior colleagues, including development planning, onboarding, and performance support.
Acting as the key contact for stakeholders across Facilities, Retail, Engineering, and contractor partners.
Ensuring compliance with all internal policies, including GDPR and Health & Safety.
This role is a full-time position working 5 days over 7. Please note there will be occasional weekend and nights work to support the 24/7 operation, subject to business requirements.
About You
You will be a proactive and confident operations professional, ready to lead from the front and support the seamless running of our store services. Your experience will include:
Proven success in operational or facilities management, ideally in a fast-paced or high-profile environment.
Strong team leadership skills and experience mentoring or managing others.
Excellent organisational abilities and a structured, solution-focused approach to your work.
Advanced MS Office skills; experience with project management tools is desirable.
A strong understanding of operational compliance, data protection, and best practice principles.
Confidence in stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration.
You’ll be dependable, composed under pressure, and committed to continual improvement, with the drive to lead by example and uphold the highest standards.
