Join our fast-paced production team as a Production Packer, where you’ll operate automated packing equipment, maintain high standards of quality, and help deliver Costa’s iconic products to customers across the globe. You'll follow V.S.O.Ps with precision, ensure smooth packaging processes, and play a key role in supporting continuous improvement by collaborating with engineers and specialists. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dedicated and supportive team at our state-of-the-art Roastery in Basildon. The role is contracted for 40 hours per week, and you’ll need to be able to commit to the regular shift pattern in place.

What you’ll do
As a Production Packer, you’ll be part of a fast-paced and quality-driven environment, ensuring our products are packed to the highest standards and delivered with consistency. You'll operate automated packing equipment, follow strict production protocols, and play a vital role in maintaining efficiency on the line. Your responsibilities will include:
• Operating automated packing machinery in line with daily production targets
• Following V.S.O.Ps (Visual Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure product quality and consistency
• Performing regular quality checks in compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and BRC Global Standards
• Managing stock movement and packaging materials to maintain a smooth production flow
• Maintaining a clean, organised work area using 5S principles
• Collaborating with Master Roasters and engineers to support production performance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience working in a warehouse, picking, or production role
• Be confident using basic PC systems including Excel, Word, and email
• Communicate clearly and effectively
• Have an understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and fire evacuation procedures (desirable)
• Show a willingness to learn and develop skills around packaging machinery and software (desirable)

Location – Full time based at our Basildon Roastery. Please note that this role will be 40 hours per week with the occasional weekend shift working. Mon to Fri working, Early 07:00am to 16:00pm and Late 09:00am to 18:00pm. Due to the location of our site and limited public transport options, having your own transport is strongly recommended to ensure reliable access to and from work.
