Quality Assurance Technician
Our Food and Safety team are now looking for a new Quality Assurance Technician to join their experienced team on a full time basis in our Harrods Knightsbridge offices.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (1 in 3 Saturdays) with shift patterns between 6am-7pm.
About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of fresh products delivered to our Knightsbridge receiving bank. Reporting to the Food Safety Manager, you will monitor and manage the quality of products from reception to end user, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and quality management protocols.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Ensure Product Quality: Verify deliveries meet quality standards, manage rejections, and liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
Monitor Temperature & Hygiene: Check delivery temperatures, maintain hygiene in storage areas, and conduct environmental swabs.
Oversee Inspections & Documentation: Perform delivery checks, inspect products, and complete all required paperwork accurately.
Manage Storage & Inventory: Store products correctly, maintain stock rotation, and perform regular shelf-life checks.
Support Operations: Assist with return-to-vendor processes, record quality issues, and support teams through regular floor walks.
About You
You will be able to demonstrate strong time-management skills and the ability to multitask, you will efficiently handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in paperwork and stock management. Your flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities ensure you can respond effectively to dynamic situations. With a strong commitment to company values and work ethics, you will uphold high standards and perform your duties with minimal supervision, showcasing your independence and reliability.
You will also have:
Food Hygiene Level 2 Training: Essential for ensuring food safety standards [preferred, but not essential]
PC Literacy: Proficiency in Word and Excel.
Customer Service: Strong focus on excellent service to both internal and external parties.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
