Senior Buyer - Garden
We’re hiring a Senior Buyer to lead a large, high-value Garden category for a well-known UK retailer. This is a hands-on role with real ownership—c.1500 SKUs and 50–60 suppliers across areas like garden buildings, tools, watering, growing and pest control.
The role:
Own the category and drive sales, margin and growth
Build strong, commercial ranges that reflect customer demand
Negotiate with suppliers to get the best outcomes
Lead and develop a small buying team
Work closely with merchandising on stock and performance
What we’re looking for:
Solid senior buying experience in a relevant product area
Strong commercial instincts and analytical skills
Experience trading in a multi-channel retail environment
Comfortable working in a seasonal category
Confident negotiator who delivers results
A great opportunity for someone who knows this space inside out and wants full ownership of a key category. This role will be full time onsite, with also travel to trade shows and supplier meetings
