Space Range & Merchandising Analyst / Senior Analyst - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to craft the way we optimise space or range at Tesco? You could be analysing the variety of products and space allocation in our stores based on individual store performance, business strategy, customer demographics and market trends!

You will be responsible for:

Developing a deep understanding of how the retail industry, our end to end supply chain and store operations work and why.
Using a combination of technical skills and business understanding to turn data into insight, root causing issues, defining problems, crafting creative solutions and implementing them in the business.
Reporting data accurately and turning it into useful information which has context and supporting narrative.
Articulating the opportunity, insight, or project clearly, flexing your style to engage with conviction.
Leading your own projects; building engagement, influencing relevant partners and delivering real change.
Measuring the benefits & costs associated with your work to learn, drive future decisions and ways of working.

You will need:

Good eye for business and the strive to make changes to the way the company operates.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Capacity to simplify sophisticated issues and implement practical solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage and collaborate with other teams to deliver to objectives.
Collaborate with authorities to inform decisions, ensuring timely delivery of business benefits.
Capability to innovate new and pragmatic solutions using your own ideas.
Knowledge of SQL and python would be a bonus, however, a large proportion of our analysts join with limited SQL knowledge so the ability to learn technical skills quickly is enough.
