Our Stock Operations team are now looking for a Stock Operative to support the smooth running of our world-class restaurants and kitchens. This is a vital behind-the-scenes role that ensures our chefs, kitchen teams, and hospitality staff always have what they need to deliver the exceptional Harrods experience.

About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for handling, organising, and maintaining stock for our food and beverage operations. From chilled and frozen goods to dry stores and alcohol, you’ll make sure everything is received, stored, and managed to the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and presentation. You will also play an important role in ensuring our stockrooms are kept immaculate and that our kitchen and restaurant teams are always fully supported.

You’ll work on a rota basis, five days over seven, with alternate weekends where possible. Shifts are typically 7am–3pm (around 75% of the time), with one week per month working 9am–5pm, and Sunday shifts set at 8am–4pm. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, handling alcohol stock, and operating in chilled environments.

Day-to-day you will:

Receive and check food and beverage deliveries against delivery notes, raising discrepancies promptly.
Ensure correct storage of all items, including chilled, frozen, and dry goods, in line with Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.
Handle, move, and replenish stock safely, including heavier items when required.
Keep stockrooms clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene and safety regulations.
Support daily stock audits, stocktakes, and preparation for service or events.
Accurately manage stock records, delivery documentation, and fault reporting.

About You

You will be a reliable and proactive team player, comfortable working both independently and alongside colleagues. You’ll take pride in working to high standards, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage stock accurately and safely. You will also be physically confident, as the role involves handling heavier items and working in cold storage areas.

You will:

Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Be comfortable working independently when required.
Be able to adapt to different shift patterns, including weekends.
Ideally have experience in a stock, warehouse, or food-handling environment.
Be confident handling alcohol stock in line with company standards.
