The retailer announced that whilst its average orders per week had grown 16% up to 254,000, its average order size edged down by 1.2% to £106.25. Ocado's chief executive, Tim Stein said, "We are pleased to report another strong quarter of growth. Our industry-leading technology has continued to set the bar for customer service and satisfaction and we continue to grow sales at a rate significantly in excess of the average for our industry.” Recently, the company became the first UK grocer to offer Amazon's Alexa voice-activated tool to enable customers to verbally modify their online orders.
