It has been reported by Associated British Foods (ABF) that popular fashion retailer Primark is expecting to see a 13% increase in sales compared with last year.
The increase in sales is thought to be largely due to new stores opening in the last 18 months, with France being the most popular new market.
The report shows that like-for-like sales were affected by the unusual warm weather which was followed by strong Christmas trading, as well as good performances in Portugal, Ireland and Spain.
Primark’s present financial year sees the number of current stores is 293, with the first store opening in Downtown Crossing in the US on September 10th.
The future for Primark stores will see new openings in the UK, Spain and northeast US.
