A low-cost tablet launched by supermarket chain Aldi sold out on its launch weekend. The Lifetab which retails at £79 rivals Tesco’s Hudl, which sells for £119 and has sold 300,000 units since its own launch in September and Argos’ Mytablet, which is £99.
A spokesman for Aldi said the “Specialbuy" promotion used to advertise the Lifetab was limited "only until stocks last".
