It has been reported that Apple is in talks to buy headphone brand Beats for as much as $3.2 billion (£1.9 billion) in what would be tech giant’s biggest acquisition to date.

A source said that the two companies were still negotiating, according to the Financial Times.

Beats, which also operates a music streaming service, was founded by music producer Jimmy Iovine and the hip-hop star Dr Dre.
