Supermarket group Asda has moved to reshuffle its executive team, with the company’s brand director and property/multichannel leaving the business.

The restructuring, aimed at streamlining the board-level team, will see Karen Hubbard, Asda's executive director for property and multichannel, leave the business at the end of the month. Brand director Adrian McKeon will also leave the retailer after four years.

Meanwhile, Asda's recently appointed CFO Alex Russo will take on property and market evaluation in an expanded role, whilst Steve Smith, currently chief marketing officer, will become chief customer officer with responsibility for increasing the customer-centric and omnichannel focus of the group.

Barry Williams, currently responsible for food merchandising, will take on additional responsibility for product development and Andrew Moore, who currently heads up merchandising for George and GM will be given additional accountability for strategy and Asda's Programme Management Office.
