The former chief financial officer of Aurora Fashions, owner of the Oasis, Warehouse and Coast brands, has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an “intruder” was injured in his house and subsequently died.

Ricci Gallagher is believed to have suffered head injuries at Richard Glanville’s property on August 6th. He was airlifted to hospital in a helicopter piloted by the Duke of Cambridge but died a week later.

Mr Glanville and another man were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have been bailed until September.

Aurora Fashions is majority owned by Icelandic bank Kaupthing, but is in the process of breaking up the group, making it easier to sell the individual brands to new investors, a process which began with the spinning off of the Karen Millen brand in 2012.
