Barbour has launched a new stand alone store in Central London’s St James’s Gateway.

The store which is situated between Piccadilly and Jermyn Street, spans two floors and sells the country style clothing along with its biker style International ranges.

Barbour’s national sales and marketing director Ian Beattie said: “Motorcycle clothing first appeared in Barbour brochures in the early 1900s and is just as important to Barbour's heritage as country clothing. With this new dedicated store we will be able to showcase our fashion collections inspired by the halcyon days of motorcycling.”

Barbour increased its sales by 12% to £136.9 million in 2012 and saw pre-tax profits rise 42% to £24.3 million. Barbour also received a £549,000 award from the government’s Regional Growth Fund which helped the company create 130 new jobs.
