Blackberry has announced its new Z30 model, its largest handset to date, which is the first product to be released since Blackberry announced it was putting itself up for sale.

According to market-research company IDC, Blackberry accounted for 9.3% of all smartphones shipped to the UK during the first half of the year, but has a weaker position in the US and China.
Earlier this week, Blackberry announced a massive round of staff cuts by the end of the year, with the possibility that it could make as many as 40% of its employees redundant.
