Fashion e-tailer boohoo.com has announced its trading figures for the four months to 31st December 2014 in which revenue in the UK grew 25%, with the rest of Europe up by 35% and the rest of the world up by 19%, having had a record week over Black Friday.

With an increase in active customers of 31% to 2.9 million and continued investments, the company is expecting its full year figures to be below existing market expectations.

Joint chief executives Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane said: "Whilst the period proved a challenging trading environment, we have still grown the business by 25%, albeit short of our previous expectations. We are very confident that our fashion credentials, pure play online model and the significant investment in infrastructure will continue to drive growth in the UK and internationally."
