CIPD: 78% of organisations have “recruitment difficulties”

A report from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has revealed that organisations are experiencing escalating skills shortages and increased competition for talent.

The Resourcing and Talent Planning survey, launching today at the CIPD’s Recruitment Exhibition found that 78% of organisations have reported recruitment difficulties in the last year and many are having to look externally to meet their needs. In response, the CIPD is urging employers to give equal attention to developing internal talent to build a skilled and sustainable workforce.
