France’s Danone has said that it is “shocked” at bribery claims directed at its baby food arm. The company said that it is investigating claims that hospital staff in China were bribed to use Dumex over competitors.
According to China Central Television, Dumex allegedly paid doctors and nurses in the northern city of Tianjin to promote its products.
Dumex has said that it has started an internal investigation.
