Debenhams will be airing its multi-million pound Christmas campaign on Wednesday 6 November using the strapline 'Wishes Made Fabulous'.

The Christmas campaign, which will be played during Coronation Street on ITV follows a young couple who wish to be together for Christmas and are reunited when the boyfriend surprises the girl in a final scene on an ice rink.

Richard Cristofoli, Debenhams marketing director, said: “This beautiful TV ad is the icing on the cake in an important year - not only are we celebrating our 200th birthday, but we will also be re-launching our international flagship store on Oxford Street following a £25 million redevelopment.”

A strong social media campaign will also see Debenhams encouraging customers to share their favourite #wishesmadefabulous on Twitter and Facebook.
