Famous pottery firm Denby Group is being sold after a strong performance in 2013 and just five years after it was rescued from falling into administration.

A focus on exports prompted record growth in North America and Asia which has prompted private equity owner Hilco Capital to appoint advisors to begin a formal sale process.

The group was rescued by Hilco in 2009, since when the group has expanded to include heritage brands Burleigh, Poole Pottery and Hartley Greens.
