Dr. Martens has opened its first London Oxford Street store, trading across three floors and stocks the full range of Dr. Martens footwear, clothing and accessories, together with the brand’s Made In England collection.

The new flagship store features engaging wall elevations telling the story of the brand from the beginnings of an icon, through to celebrating over five decades of Dr. Martens, showcasing images from the 1960s to the present day.

An exclusive piece of bespoke artwork made from smashed vinyl worked into the shape of the iconic 8-eye 1460 boot, is displayed in a prime location on the store’s ground floor.

Also showcased in the store are artefacts from the personal collection of Mick Jones, from The Clash, including two pairs of his much loved Dr. Martens boots and his iconic 1958 Les Paul Junior Doublecut guitar,

Dr. Martens global marketing director Simon Jobson said: “When people come to London, they want to go home with something that captures the city and is idiosyncratic to the UK; Dr. Martens fits the bill perfectly because it’s all about culture, music and history. Our Oxford Street store will bring this history and atmosphere to a big, global audience."

The new shop means the brand now has 22 stores in the UK, with Dr. Martens boots now selling in 75 countries worldwide.
