After the news that EE will be expanding its presence on the high street, it has been announced that it will be creating 1,000 new jobs over the next two years after bringing its customer service back to the UK.

The expansion to new areas in the UK will see the opening of 50 retail stores in 2014 alone helping to create around 350 additional jobs for the mobile and home broadband retailer.

EE will also be tripling its apprenticeship scheme to provide opportunities to over 1,300 young people following the success of its apprenticeship scheme which was first announced in March 2013 which EE says will provide a “major boost” for jobseekers by the end of 2015.

Prime Minister David Cameron said: “It’s great news that EE is bringing over 1,000 jobs back to the UK. As part of our long term economic plan, I believe we can become the world’s leading re-shoring nation and provide new opportunities for hard working people.”
